John Hus could be called one of the very first Protestants, as he wanted the Bible to be made available to Christians in their own language. For this, and other Protestant positions, he was burnt at the stake by the Roman Catholic church in 1415. While John Hus the movie is highly educational, it is not particularly enjoyable – it seems more like a staged play than a film. But the DVD includes dozens of pages of study material making this a great resource for teachers, study groups, or anyone who wants to learn more about John Hus and the Reformation.
