Part of the magic of C.S. Lewis's Narnia series was that while they were clearly children's books they had a depth to them that made them good adult reading as well. Some of that same magic can be found in this animated film version of the first book in the Narnia series. It has most of the book's depth, and almost all the action (though done with discretion, making the film appropriate even for younger children - Aslan's death and the battle scenes are either not fully shown or are bloodless).
